Many of you have told me that you find it challenging painting flowers. Or that you’re afraid to paint them. That’s a shame since they are so beautiful. A perfect painting subject!
Join me for this 1-day workshop where we’ll focus on a step-by-step approach to painting flowers that will make them no more challenging to paint than any other subject. It’s all about shape, value, color and edges.
We’ll do a series of exercises, focusing on a variety of different flowers, so that you’ll feel comfortable painting any flower you encounter.
The workshop is geared for newer and intermediate painters; for anyone who wants to continue to develop their painting skills. This workshop will help you take a leap forward in the quality of your work.
The workshop will be held in my studio at Hunters Point Shipyard, San Francisco. It’s limited to a maximum of 6 students. Painters are welcome to paint in oil, acrylic, gouache or other water-based paints. A materials list will be sent to you upon registration in advance of the workshop.
Cost of workshop: $80. This amount is refundable in full up to 2 weeks prior to the workshop; after that the registration fee is non-refundable.
To register: On PayPal send $80 to Bruce Katz Studio (firstname.lastname@example.org). Or email to for me address to send me a check.
The fee for students who would like to sign up for a package of 4 workshops to be taken in 2019 is $280 ($70 per workshop), to be paid in advance of the first one). Please contact me through the Contact page on this site regarding registration.
